About 40 m off shore. They seemed to avoid the shore and a flock of ducks and seagulls nearby. Saw them here a couple weeks ago too. Comment : Spiky crest on head visible in photo and long thin red bill, this male has a dark head, a white neck, a black back and white underparts. A greyish femail was nearby too. |

Comment : You can just barely make out the ruffled head feathers in the photo. Black head and back, breast pale cinnamon-brown, make them males. |
